****TTM&B's Sleep Tip****
Check out this brilliant idea from Walking on Travels!
How to build a sleeping tent on a plane.
This is a great way to help your littles ones get the #sleep they need while travelling on a plane!!!
Whitenoise and darkness are key elements to helping your little moon bugs fall asleep!
"As we watched our boys fall asleep in their tents, my husband and I looked around at our fellow passengers.
OK, so maybe they didn’t applaud. In fact, I probably would have shushed them all if they had."
Remember to put this little tip in your pocket for your next adventure,
everyone including your children will thank you that they are well rested.
One of the first things I ask my clients is if their little ones rooms are dark; and I mean are they 3am on a camping trip in the middle of nowhere dark?
If not, that is one of my first I recommendations, you need to make their rooms black dark for all sleep situations, all year long.
Having your child's room dark has many benefits when it comes to sleep. Darkness can help prevent early morning wake ups, help prolong naps, as well as help to maintain much needed early bedtimes when the seasons change (and it's still daylight at 7pm); just to name a few.
But it is clear that sleeping in darkness plays a much bigger role
when it comes to our health.
Hands up if this sounds familiar!!
Your fussy baby finally falls asleep for her afternoon nap and you sit down for a much needed moment to yourself only to hear
a car with a broken muffler roaring down the street. Just like that, Sleeping Beauty is wide awake and mad; NOT a good combination.
Or maybe you live in the country and you’re awoken at dawn by a wailing infant who has adorable (but ridiculously loud)
birds chirping outside her window. Environmental noises are a fact of life that you can’t do much about! But there IS something you can do about your baby’s ability to sleep through the noise.
In my experience, white noise machines can be a lifesaver when it comes to helping babies
fall asleep and stay asleep.
Why and which one do I recommend?
