How Personal Experience and Professional Expertise Shape My Approach to Newborn Sleep

I’ve been where you are.
I’m a mom of two adorable little boys who were definitely not blessed with independent sleep skills—honestly, they were terrible at it!
For over three years, I struggled with little to no sleep, feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and crying more nights than I can count. I tried everything, and nothing seemed to work.
I know firsthand how extreme sleep deprivation can affect every part of your life—your mental health, your confidence as a parent, your relationships, and your ability to enjoy those precious early moments.
After finally solving our sleep struggles, I knew I wanted to help other families find a better way. I already had my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and after becoming a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I continued expanding my knowledge through Infant Mental Health Training (at SickKids Hospital of Toronto) and certification as an Integrated Feeding Specialist. I also attend monthly continuing education sessions and several yearly conferences to ensure I’m always offering the most up-to-date, science-based strategies.
Today, I have the privilege of supporting both moms and their little ones right where they are—emotionally, mentally, and practically—through the sleep training process. My approach is rooted in personal experience, professional expertise, and a deep understanding of the emotional journey that comes with building healthy sleep habits.
