My advice, is DO IT, put aside your reservations, and do it. It will improve yours & your child's lives 10 fold. It's a tough go for the first few days, but worth its weight in gold in the end."

I have been where you are! I am a mom of two adorable little boys who were not blessed with independent sleep skills, actually they sucked at it! I struggled for almost 3 years with little to no sleep, crying, frustrated and overwhelmed.
I tried everything and nothing worked! I have personally experienced and understand how being extremely sleep deprived can impact your mental health, your confidence as a parent, your relationships and your life as a whole. Through personal experience with terrible sleepers, Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Anxiety, plus my BA. in Psychology & completion of an Infant Mental Health Course (through SickKids Hospital of Toronto). My Sleep Philosophy
I chose to receive my sleep consultant training from the best in the business because the methods worked for me personally and they followed along with my own beliefs. The Sleep Sense Method® was created out of a strong belief that healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn.
When parents entrust me as their child’s sleep guide, through one-on-one consultations, they are placing a great deal of trust in me, and I want to let you know that I take this responsibility very seriously.
While most books and programs dealing with child sleep issues take philosophical stands (based largely around the issue of “crying it out”), I believe that your child’s sleep is more important than my personal views on this subject. That’s why the Sleep Sense Method places so much emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles. The bottom line is that you, as a parent, need to be comfortable with your new sleep plan in order for it to work for your child.

This is a common question. Crying is your child’s way of protesting change, and you can expect that making changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest. That’s why I’m always sure to tell parents that my program will most likely involve at least some amount of protest on the child’s part.
However, I will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will I ask you to ignore their cries. The reason that the Sleep Sense Method is so effective is that it lets you develop a plan that you feel comfortable with, based on what you know about your child.

Initially the cost was our only hesitation. I knew this was a good thing for my daughter and
I realized how important getting proper sleep was but little did I know the
impact it would have on our whole family.
It was well worth it. Since working with Erin, my daughter goes down effortlessly twice a day for naps and is sleeping through the night (11-12 hours). She has been sleeping through the night since night 6 of the sleep plan.
Along with that, she is no longer takes a soother and is completely off night feeding!

In less than two weeks, it became so easy to put Sarah down for a nap (just one book and a short lullaby—no fussing!) and she never naps for less than an hour. She will gladly nap for 1.5-2.5 hours twice or more a day.
I don’t have enough good things to say about Erin.
